I pre drill and screw all parts with Stainless steel screws along with gluing all the parts. I send option for a nail or screw to tree .
Yes I could simply use staples to put it all together not glue and drop the price in half. I would not want that type of feeder in my yard `
My cedar is air dried for year as is sold only "green/wet" I plane them all seal them .
Being honest many others will last one season mine have lasted some 5 years or more w/o much signs of wear . view my buddy eating at

vertical board are 12-16 inches the Horizontal seating with chairs are 10-12 inches 4-6 inches wide . wood thickness runs between 1/2 inch and 2 inches . backs of the seats are angled to keep rain from pooling
all woods are reclaimed sources glued and screwed not just nailed with a pin nailer
Each one is Hand made and will look similar to the one pictured, I use all Re claimed wood that has been drying in my store for years , I pick out the woods sand /shape them match the woods that "fit together" to look good.
Parts that are glued are glued with Water proof non toxic glues .
I then treat the wood with a 100% tung oil 2 coats at least . after this I will seal it with 2 coats of a NON toxic UV out door hardener/protector

woods used are Oak various types , Northern Elm , Maple, Hickory ,cherry Poplar and others Red cedar natural air dried wood is currently being used for the main boards giving a longer life

All screws are Deck screws and if assembly is required you need a star bit and recommend a drill . But if not you can hand screw them since all are Pilot t holed (Pre- drilled )
